Turning what you never knew about into something you can choose.
If it exists, someone can find it
Known, but not where needed
Even well-known, good things never reached the people who needed them. It was not that the information did not exist; it was there, but it was not getting through. The same thing is surely happening everywhere.
Remove one reason it can't be done
When something is missing, it is easy to give up. Yet trying anyway leaves knowledge behind, and it leads to what comes next. So: remove one reason someone can't, and add one more chance to try.
Connecting people with people, and people with places
Build a bridge between the good things that already exist and the people who need them. If it adds one more chance to connect, it is worth making.
One of its starting points
Users and worlds were not being matched well.
The starting point was discovering a Quest-compatible world called “Beyond a bit.”
While showing new VRChat users around, I realized something simple but important: no matter how good a world is, you cannot discover it if you never learn that it exists.
That led me to start introducing worlds in order to create more opportunities for good places to reach the people who might appreciate them.
Find something good, help it reach the people who need it, and turn that discovery into a new action.

Introduce what exists. Make what's missing.
World introductions
By turning firsthand visits into searchable articles, the goal is to create an entry point for discovering somewhere new whenever you find yourself wondering, “Where should I go next?”

The articles are designed not only around the worlds themselves, but also around what visitors want to do and what hardware they use.

Toward the next possibility
The forms change; the direction stays the same. Whatever starts next should grow out of the same place. oka-project is here as the home base that holds it all together.
Who makes it?
oka
oka is an independent maker working on web tools, services, and media.
The aim is simple: reduce the number of times people miss an option because they did not know it existed or because the available tools were harder to use than they needed to be.
