What this site is

oka-vrc travelogue is a VRChat world guide built around places I have actually visited, with each world documented through photos and firsthand experience.

Rather than simply listing world names, I focus on what it is actually like to spend time there: what kind of scenery you can expect, whether it works well for a quiet solo visit, and what you might enjoy doing there with friends.

VRChat has an enormous number of worlds, but a name and thumbnail alone often do not tell you what a place feels like or whether it will suit you. Worlds you discover on social media can also be hard to find again once the post disappears from your feed or you forget the name.

By turning firsthand visits into searchable articles, the goal is to create an entry point for discovering somewhere new whenever you find yourself wondering, “Where should I go next?”

Find worlds by what you want to do

The articles are designed not only around the worlds themselves, but also around what visitors want to do and what hardware they use.

• Chill & VR sleep — Look for quiet, relaxing spaces where you can unwind
• Social — Find worlds suited to chatting with friends or spending time in a group
• Games & interactive experiences — Visit worlds where there is something to do, not just something to see
• Quest-compatible — Find places that can be visited on standalone Quest as well as PC VR

Alongside categories and tags, the site also includes tools such as a “World Type Quiz” that helps you discover the kinds of worlds that may fit you by answering a series of questions.

Reading an article is not meant to be the end goal. What matters is that it leads you to open VRChat and actually visit the world.

More than world recommendations

oka-vrc travelogue also covers practical information that can make VRChat easier and more enjoyable after you have found somewhere you want to visit.

As a result, the project has grown beyond a simple “blog that introduces VRChat worlds.” It is increasingly becoming an independent media project that helps people discover new places in VRChat and enjoy them for themselves.

Why I keep doing it

The starting point was discovering a Quest-compatible world called “Beyond a bit.”

While showing new VRChat users around, I realized something simple but important: no matter how good a world is, you cannot discover it if you never learn that it exists.

That led me to start introducing worlds in order to create more opportunities for good places to reach the people who might appreciate them.

Another part of the project that matters to me is helping interest extend beyond the world itself to the creator behind it. Someone may visit a world after reading an article, enjoy it, discover who made it, and then become interested in that creator’s other work and activities. Helping more of those connections happen is one of the long-term goals of oka-vrc travelogue.

History

I began introducing VRChat worlds on note in 2024, then moved to the current blog in December of the same year and began operating it more seriously.

Starting with world introductions, the site has gradually expanded into beginner articles, settings and setup guides, features, quizzes, and other content. Contributing writers now also participate, allowing worlds to be introduced from multiple perspectives.

For oka-project, oka-vrc travelogue is also one of its starting points. Find something good, help it reach the people who need it, and turn that discovery into a new action. That idea continues to shape the work behind oka-project today.
