Nothing is stored — no files, no settings.

How to use Tojiru

  1. Open — Choose one or more PDFs with "Open PDF", or drag and drop them anywhere on the page. Pages line up left to right.
  2. Arrange — Use ← → on a page to move it (or drag with a mouse). ⟳ rotates it 90° right, ✕ removes it. Select several pages to rotate or remove them together.
  3. Save — "Save as one PDF" writes the pages in the current order. Save only the selected pages, or split every page into its own PDF in a ZIP, from the buttons below.

Rotation is written into the file (the page's rotation attribute), not just the on-screen view, so the saved PDF opens that way in any viewer.

When it comes in handy

  • Contract plus appendix as one file — Combine PDFs that arrived separately, in the order you want to send them. Nothing is uploaded, so confidential documents stay that way.
  • Fix a scan's orientation and order — Rotate pages that came in sideways and reorder pages that were scanned backwards, then save.
  • Submit only the pages you need — Pull just the first page of a form, or one document out of a scanned stack, into a separate PDF.
  • One page per file — Turn one PDF into single-page PDFs delivered as a ZIP.

FAQ

Are my PDFs sent anywhere?
No. Merging and splitting happen inside your browser, and this site has no server-side endpoint that could receive a PDF in the first place. The page's Content-Security-Policy also restricts outbound connections. The only network traffic is page-view and action-type analytics (Google Analytics: that a file was saved or split) used to understand how the site is used; the PDF's content and file names are never part of it.
Where are the PDFs I open stored?
They aren't. Close the page and they are gone from the browser's memory. The PDFs and ZIPs you save go to your browser's download folder.
Are there limits?
100 MB per file and 1,000 pages in total. Large PDFs use your device's memory, so older devices may take a while to load them.
Can I open password-protected PDFs?
No. Pages can't be pulled out of an encrypted PDF. Remove the password first (save it without protection in a PDF viewer), then open it here.
Can I add text, page numbers or a watermark?
No. This tool only arranges, rotates, splits and merges whole pages. Writing text needs embedded fonts, which would make the first load much heavier, so it is kept separate.
What happens to bookmarks, form fields and annotations?
Page content (text, images, link annotations) is carried over. Document-level bookmarks (outlines) and form definitions are not carried into the merged file. The original document's author metadata is not carried over either.
How do rotated pages look after saving?
The rotation is written into the file as the page's rotation attribute, so Acrobat, browsers and phone viewers all open it that way, and it prints that way too.
A thumbnail says "No preview"
Pages with some image formats (JPEG 2000, for example) may not render as an on-screen preview. The page content in the saved PDF is not affected.
Does it work offline?
Yes, once you have opened the tool. Open this page once while online and the library is stored on your device with it; after that it works without a connection. The library is shared with the Japanese version (/tools/pdf-merge); each language's page is saved the first time you open it.
